Some prospective employers ask unique questions at an interview to know what kind of person you are, your characteristics (in other words personality) and how creative you are with your answers.

From personal (professional?) experience I got asked about what animal I would be.
I'd always answer 'chameleon' because they always blend within their surroundings which is important because in a workplace you would have to adapt within different situations and scenarios especially if you are working in a fast paced environment.

"If you could have any day off during the week, which would it be....? Why? And what would you do on your day off?"

Honestly didn't know WTF to say to that abomination of a question, needless to say I didn't get that job.

I'm a woman and at one time was interviewed by a woman for a job in interpreting and this was one of the questions she asked me which I found quite strange. Needless to say I didn't get the job.

My dad does a few job interviews with potential employees and he asks "Who is the current Labour Leader?"

Sounds simple, but he says that you'd be surprised at how many people don't know the answer.
