    Hi

I can't work it out or find any reference guides. Does anybody know what the 'ABB or equivalent' means in a university's entry requirements in relation to the access course? So, how many distinctions/merits etc? I'm doing all lv.3 credits.

    Thanks in advance.

You should contact the university and ask.

Under the new UCAS system, ABB is worth 128 points. This is the same number of points as 30D and 15M at Access. However, you can't always assume that university requirements will be strictly equivalent. Usually, the requirements will be listed under Entry Requirements on the university's subject web page. If you can't find anything specific, it's worth dropping an email to the admissions tutor to clarify the situation.

Access has no points system so there is no official equivalent for courses starting in 2016 (the link above is from next year). You basically have to ask the uni but in my experience that would be 30 @ dist and 15 @ merit minimum.
