My head of year made me rush to fill in my application today (even though we had originally agreed to send it off tomorrow) and I was just checking everything over this evening and realised I have made a huge mistake in my personal statement. Instead of putting 'sectarian' it says 'secretarian' which despite not being a word wasn't noticed on my word processor? Neither I nor the four different teachers who read it noticed this and I'm so desperately angry with myself. I was supposed to be applying to Oxford but I guess this means I wont even be asked for an interview? Is there ANYTHING I can do? My application has been confirmed by my referee and properly sent off and I don't even know if I can contact my head of year before the deadline tomorrow...

Yes, if it hasn't been sent off, it can be returned to the applicant, but the chances of this happening on a Saturday are remote. One typo won't make a great deal of difference.

Don't worry you can edit your applications in UCAS track up to 1 week after you've sent it off. Universities are only bothered if they're already read it and you've changed it but I doubt that ahaha! So don't stress just log in to ucas track and then change it

If none of your teachers noticed it, chances are that the admissions people won't notice it either. If they do they'll most likely just brush it off. These kinds of things happen, and if the content and grammar of your ps was good you should be fine.
