I doubt it. Surely some member of his family can do it though.

its the school that decides what the regulations for picking up results are. Generally they expect a letter of consent though.

Tell him to call the school and write a hard copy letter.

I need to do the same thing. You are allowed to do it, but you need to get your friend to talk to the person at your school who is in charge of exams/results. That's what my friend has done and it's all confirmed for me to pick up her results.

The regulations at my school are:

"If you wish any other person (including family members) to collect your results on your behalf, you must give that person written authorisation which they must bring with them on results day."

thank for the replies everyone
i'll get my friend to write a letter and to contact the school prior to when results are handed out to explain the situation.

thank again!!

Also you need proof of identity that you are the person that your friends says you are on the letter.

That would've been a good idea for me too since I'm away on holiday for a week from this saturday but I've already confirmed that they'll post them to me for when I get back. >.<

My parents are under strict instructions not to open them before I get back since they're not coming with me on holiday. I can picture my mum steaming the envelope open though! :|

I am not sure. I think it may be unlikely, based on the letter I received from my school, that you cannot collect results on behalf of another candidate, but it may vary, so it is worth checking. If not, perhaps a family member of family friend could pick them up on her behalf. A signed letter by the student and photographic ID is required in order to be able to do this though.

Good Luck

im sure the school will give you them, if he calls!

On the subject of ID, when we go in on results day what exactly happens?

Do our teachers hand us our results envolope personally so no ID is required or how does it work? I could go in to school and out several times picking up anyones results otherwise couldn't I?

depends on the school.

but apparantly its not in envelopes so you could see others results :s-smilie:
