    Hi, how’s it going?

I just wanted to know if anybody did this short course GCSE exam this year? (May 18).

The puzzling thing with this GCSE is that OCR sent our school a letter stating that results would be published on the 16th, I asked them myself and they reconfirmed this to me!
How can this GCSE exam have results published a week before all other GCSEs!

    Thanks.

How do you think you did, if you don’t mind me asking?

I totally messed up section B, one and a half hours is no where near enough time to do that exam! Section A and C went well though, coursework – 38/40 providing OCR don’t change my mark at moderation!
I predict a high A grade for myself, but really hoping and praying for an A* seeing as this is the only GCSE I’ve done so far!

    Thanks.

Yeah, I did the OCR short course in Citizenship in May.
But I have no idea when the results are coming out.
I was told on the 24th August.
If you don't know then you should have your result posted to you.

Hey, sounds like you did well overall.
The exam was pretty easy but way too long, if I had 30 minutes more I could have totally aced it! I still remember the points I could have used in the mini-essays in section B, lol!

The coursework was out of 40, and the exam out of 60, total is 100 so each mark is worth 1%.

The high grade thresholds last year were: 62% for a B; 74% for an A; and 86% for an A*.

Let me know how you did when you get your grade.

Lol most people in my school hated it too. How do you think you did though?
It was optional in my school though – like an extra. One more question, are y'all in grade 11?

I'm in 10th and it seems like we are a year behind most others!

    Thanks.

I didn't like the exam I thought it went on to much.
And in the end I never managed to get it finished.
I worked hard on my coursework though so hopefully that will help me.
But i'll have to wait and see about that.

Coursework A went well, B didnt go badly either.
I felt that the exam went well nothing too tricky.
I have to say that i didnt put 100% effort llike i did for other subjects.
    We will wait and see!!!

The exam wasnt to bad i just felt as if i wasn't given enough time to finish.
Towards the end i felt rushed.
Have you already been given your coursework grades?
    I haven't.

Yeah, it was an easy exam looking back. The problem was with the lack of time, the exam was pretty long; 1:30 but still not enough time to complete it!

I totally messed up Section B; left massive gaps – I hope that doesn’t put the examiner off and ruin my chances at good marks in Section C.

I asked for my coursework marks, school was happy to tell me.

I did ask my teacher about the coursework grades and she wasn't willing to tell me what I had got because she marks them before and gives us a grade and then sends them to the examiner to be checked.

Hi there, I hope all of your results are great and you’re happy with them!

It’s still a while till I can get my results, but would somebody kindly post the A and A* boundary percentage, if you’ve already got your result? I want to check out my chances at the top grades! :p:

Thank you very much, I'll owe you one!
