A quick question about vectors Watch

    Recently, I saw someone write:
    |OC - OB|^2 = |OC^2 - 2OC*OB + 2OB| where OC and OB are both vectors.
    Can you write this? It is just I am not sure if the two expressions are the same.

    I have never seen it written like that in normal or further maths and it does not look like it would work, I could be wrong but I am pretty sure it cannot be written like that
