    Hello everyone!

My name is Sokratis and I really want your opinion or/and any advice about my application fot the BSc Economics, 1st year entry.

I currently study BSc Banking and Finance in a UK University, but the LSE was in my mind from the first moment, but my qualification were poor the previous year.

I hope to get a conditional offer from the LSE.

    My qualificatioins are:

Foundation degree with 66% overall (65 in Mathematics). The foundation was a summer one - 2 months duration. The degree is not from a UK institution, but from a foreign one (fortunately, is a well-known one, which many UK Universities recognise it).

I currently study BSc Banking and Finance in the 1st year, so I hope to ask me for a good grade in the exams and the 1st year.

One weekly seminar in Brunel University about English as a Foreign Language (marks AAA)

(I have the IELTS, but I did not mention it in my application, because I suppose they will ask me a specific mark, so no problem, I will give the exams again, if the old one is not enough)

One more question. The academic staff of the LSE informed me that my application is under initial view. How much time does this require? Because, I received this email a week ago... I think this is a good sign... or not?

Every opinion or/and advide will be really valuable, thanks in advance!!!

Your case will be hard to answer since you are at another university and I dont know what your A-Level grades are.

IELTS is not a problem, they will require it if you get an offer though. What grades did you get in each section of IELTS? When did you take it?

That email will be sent to all applicants, so it is nothing that special. If you have A-Level grades then I can help you further, however, in general some universities dont like applicants switching universities (e.g. Cambridge). I am not sure how LSE views this sort of applications.
