I think I was doing my statement this time last year - the earlier you can get it in the better. Remember TSR has an excellent personal statement checking forum

As soon as I get back from holiday, I'm gonna start drafting mine. I'm applying for '08 too.

I started my Personal Statement towards the end of school, and I'll hopefully be finished with my final draft before I return in September. These things take time, so it's important to use as much time as you can. I just completed my 6th draft and have been working on it on and off since the beginning of July. Basically, the sooner you can get it done with the better since you'll probably be busy with other things such as school work and the other parts of the UCAS admission form which you'll have to fill in (but these don't apply if you're taking a foundation course in art and design).

The earlier you start the better. Remember that the PS your way of selling yourself to the Universities so try and make sure you make it the best piece of work you can!
