Properties or functions?

    Might seem like a stupid question but I was told these were functions of lipids: Energy stores, Thermal and electrical insulators, buoyancy, protection, source of water and vitamin store. In that exact wording. Are those definitely functions not properties- its just I know exam papers are really specific..
