This might not be the right forum but I wanted to make this post anonymously.

I'm 16 and I would like to become a christain or explore the religion further but my parents aren't religious at all so I'm unsure about what I should/can do. My family aren't atheists but they just don't follow religion, and I'm worried about their reactions if I tell them that I want to become religious. I have never attended church and I'm not sure I'm brave enough to attend on my own. What should I do? Should I wait until I go to uni and start going to church then? How can I broach the subject with my parents, or should I wait until I'm older?

If they're not atheists and they're not religious I don't see why they'd care. If you want to go to a church, just sit at the very back and then leave if you feel uncomfortable or get bored. It's fine to go on your own, though I can see why you'd be nervous about it. So yeah, go now if you want and have the courage to.
