So im my 4 th week studying history and i hate it. I don't find the course as enjoyable or as interesting as i thought it would be. I get on with my flatmates but we all keep to ourselves and hardly interact. i have made no friends or even acquaintances. I feel like dropping out and redoing a few a exams and getting a part time job and reapply on a different course next year. any help?

The important thing here is how you feel about the course. Things like not making friends can be changed and dealt with but if you really aren't finding the course interesting or worth your time then there seems little reason to continue. Speak to your university and see what they can do. They may be able to transfer you onto a course that you do find more interesting or they may recommend you drop out and apply to something you enjoy more next year.

I'd go and talk to someone, whether it's your personal advisor or someone else, you may find the course gets better, but it's worth talking to someone who knows more about the course. Don't worry about friends and flatmates, it's more important making sure you're doing the right course at the right uni. Speak to someone, and if you're still not happy it might be worth looking at something else or reapplying for next year
