Can someone please help me on these Chemistry questions on Electronic structure?
It's due tomorrow and I don't know how to do it!

1.) Describe and explain how ionisation energy will change as:
    a) energy of the electron in question increases.
    b) size of nuclear charge increases.

2.) Explain in general how the first ionisation energy changes across Period 3

3.) With reference to the electronic structure of the elements in the third Period, explain why, despite there being an extra proton:
    a) the ionisation energy of Al is less than that of Mg
    b) the ionisation energy of S is less than that of P

5.) Explain in general the trend of first ionisation energy doen Group 2. Considrr the effects of both the nuclear charge and the electronic structure.

6.) Why do successive ionisation energies increase for an element?

    Cheers guys!

I don't think many people appreciate just posting a list of questions from your homework...but here is a link that should help you.

Try the textbook, and come back if you have specific questions, rather than just typing out your homework sheet for someone else to do.
