Bus is free and less exhausting than cycling. If you're concerned about traffic, leave a little earlier. No point tiring yourself out before college.

Cycling an hour each way isn't a huge amount, although it may take some getting used to if you're not super fit. The bigger issues will be what you do in bad weather as you won't want to sit around all day soaking wet, you will still get a puncture occasionally which could make you late and if you're not feeling well you shouldn't be cycling.

How far is it in distance terms?

It depends on your cycling route, if there are no hills, cycling 2 hours a day isn't too bad, it does take a bit getting used to but you'll become fitter in the process. How far do you live from college anyway? To get to college it took me 1 hour by bus, 1 hour by bicycle and 40 mins by car. Buses don't always take the direct route.

Think of how good of shape you'll get in after a few weeks! The only problem is the weather - get outfitted for rain and make sure you have a good bike.
