Is it possible to take a gap year even though I've started the course already?

    • Thread Starter

I started studying accounting and finance 2 weeks ago but at the moment I really am not liking it and I don't feel like I am prepared for the course. The work is really confusing for me at the moment and the travelling is making me feel very tired and ill. I was wondering if I could still take a gap year even though I have enrolled on the course.. Im really stressed out and haven't spoken to my parents about it Im not sure what I should do.. I feel like a gap year will help me fully prepare for everything and I should've taken it when I had the opportunity to.

I know someone who went to uni for a term, 'dropped out' so to speak, and then re-enrolled a year later. I think Cambridge was happy to let her back in as it meant their dropout rate didn't increase. It's definitely worth asking somebody
