Im having a reoccurring issue at my school.
I am there to get good grades, not to form a relationship or make friends.
Consequently i minimise my friends to a small group.

Now for the issue; in lessons i am top of my class by a wide gap, so a get leached off by people of lower intelligence, i dont mind that but due to my reclusive nature people are curious to what i do im my free time. I usually keep conversation brief and if i want something i will get right to the point to avoid wasting time.

However this has backfired, it seems to have started a trend of people trying to find out what i do im my spare time and my brief answers only make people more curious, this leads to ridiculous speculation of what i do in my time. these include party animal and porn addict.

These are of no real consequence to me but it seems to make me the negative centre of attention.

I dont want to make a fuss as i dont really care enough to do so but nor do i want to continue this trend. its distracting hearing this gossip going on around the class about what i spend my free time doing. I have given an honest answer of studying and watching TV but that was to no avail.

As you said, you're there to get good grades and not to make friends. It seems as though these people are trying to pull you down and hit your confidence. I would just say to you to ignore them and carry on doing what you are doing. If they continue to tease you about it, then it can be classed as bullying so you could report it if you feel uncomfortable.
