I've not been engaged in studies for almost 4 years since completing my A-levels and plan to go into university next year. However I've lost contact with all of my teachers since and would like to know what my options are with obtaining a suitable reference. Thanks in advance for any advice you guys offer!

    Phone your old school/sixth form.

Your old teachers will remember enough to help you out

I've been told all of my subject teachers have either transferred or retired from teaching.

I also plan on sitting a few exams at a local college, I've yet to contact them, but I'd like to know if there'd be an issue regarding a different source for both my reference and my predicted exam grades.

The person providing your reference also provides your predicted grades.

If a different person will be predicting your grades then YOU need to put them in touch with whoever is writing your reference.

What's the criteria for those who provide predicted grades?

They must be willing to predict your grades based on their professional experience.
