Who is you're "character of the 20th century"?

Who is you're man of the century. By century I mean 1900ad to 2000ad. Technically you can vote Queen Vicky who died in 1901, or E.J.Smith who commanded Titanic. Other horrible mentions go to Adolf Hitler and Ronald Kray. But their ultimate claims to fame must have manifested from what they did/happened to them in the 1900s.
To me, my character of the century is a cross between "Cassius Marcellus Clay" (later known as "Muhammad Ali") and "David Frederick Attenborough".

Dai Attenborough: been an excellent narratist of nature documentaries for as long as I can remember. And I can remember enjoying his animal programs from when I was a kid in the 90s.

We all know Ali's story. Mid 1900s was his prime but tragically lived to 2016 with a terrible medical condition. It looks like Schumacher will do something likewise.

Yeah, Hitler was definitely "the man"...
