    Hi, I'm close to submitting my UCAS form today, so I wanted to do a sanity check before I finalise my university choices (in order of entry grades):

    Birmingham University
    Sheffield University
    University of East Anglia
    University of Lincoln
    University of Surrey

    The reason I like Birmingham and Sheffield is that:

    * They both have strong computer science departments, and reputable
    * Slightly higher coursework to exam ratio
    * Their prospect statistics check out
    * I'd prefer to be in a urban area, I want to be in a dynamic area.
    * No further than Sheffield

    I'm not so sure about Surrey or Lincoln, although they seem be a OK considering their entry grade, I'm wondering if I could improve my choices in any way. Is there an university I'm missing out that would potentially be a better fit?

    I would consider Warwick/Loughborough before East Anglia/Lincoln. The others are good choices.

    Read it all carefully, especially the bits about making sure you apply to Unis with a range of grade requirements.
