    Hi

I have a wire retainer behind my teeth that I got when my train track braces were removed when I was around 14. I was still at school when I got the retainer put in.

I'm now 21 and in full time employment and my retainer snapped so I had to pull it out because it was jagging in my gums and the orthodontist was closed. so I called them and they have advised to get it replaced would cost 40 consultation and 250 to replace the retainer.

my question should I need to pay considering the treatment started when I was in school?

    Thanks!

Yes you would have to pay, i suspect after that amount of time, you certainly will have to pay even with under the nhs with a full time income.
