Is this just for Clearing or also for those who have missed their offers slightly and want to ring to beg the University to accept them. I don't know if there are different telephone numbers for Clearing and existing applicants who have been rejected. Perhaps someone could clarify this for me please.

Many thanks

Good luck with your results

Would also like to know this, thanks.

These are clearing numbers.. not admissions numbers

If you missed your offer and would like to get in contact, I would personally find the departments number tonight on the unis website. Clearing hot lines are just for clearing, it's fair to leave them vacant for students who are desperate for courses.

Reply 5

BTW, how busy do these lines get? On the Queen Mary website there are only 2 numbers, does that mean only two operators are going to be available? I assume there are at least 10 operators?

Reply 6

Hey  Where did you get the number for kings?

Full and accurate list here

I'm afraid that isn't true - most uni's turn off external access to departmental numbers for results day and ask all students to call their hotline numbers. If you then need to be transferred through to admissions staff they will transfer you internally.

There aren't any clearing vacancies for medicine.

Those med schools who fill in a few places through Clearing contact applicants who they rejected (who they know aren't holding any med offers) BEFORE results day to let them know they're on a waiting list.

I see. Thank you. I have come across couple of success stories of people who got into medicine through clearing from this forum though.

A freind of mine who got ABC got accepted to Southampton Uni, to study yesterdat.
