    Hi,

I have recently applied for finance with compelling personal reasons as I am repeating my first year.

My application for finance for second year was done previous to this and has been approved but I have not yet returned the declaration form. Is it necessary for me to return this form now that I will have applied with compelling personal reasons and will no longer be receiving the finance for second year?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

You must return the declaration if you are receiving student finance. We cannot release funding without it.

    Thanks

    Thanks for your help.

My application for compelling personal reasons was received by SFE on 14/10 but there is no update/mention of this on my account. Does this just mean that my evidence has yet to be scanned into the system ? I have called but the lady said the particular system she needed to look this up was down.

    Thanks

    Hi,

It is currently taking 15 working days to process compelling personal reasons evidence. If it was received 14/10 it should be processed by 4/11. There would be an update on your account 7/11. (These timescales are subject to change)

    Thanks

    Carly

Do you have any idea of the current timescale for processing declaration forms? Thanks again.

Does that mean I would still receive any approved maintenance loan and grant even though my tuition fee loan is pending a decision on compelling personal reasons?

    Hi,

You would receive maintenance loan but not grant whilst waiting on compelling personal reasons being assessed.

    Thanks
