I want to apply for a course with the requirements of AAB but I'm predicted ABB. It is possible for me to get one teacher to raise the grade to an A, but really don't think It's realistic for me to achieve and was wondering if uni's ever make slightly lower offers.

Eg- if I set my predicted grades as ABB, would they make me an offer for ABB or would they make me an offer for AAB, or would they reject me outright? Am I safer just making sure I apply with the predicted grades of AAB even if it's more likely that I will get ABB in summer?

The university is Leeds (so a russell group) and the course is film photography and media- a popular course but not as competitive as something like medicine. I got 2A*6A2B at GCSE and am doing an EPQ if that helps

If anyone has any insight/advice I'd be really grateful!

I reckon they would make you an offer and consider your application, however I believe the offer would state that you need to get AAB.

To be certain, why don't you directly contact the universities and see what they say, as they're the only ones who can actually tell you.

Any offer will almost certainly be AAB or ABB + A in your EPQ - unless you qualify for the Access to Leeds scheme.
