How to make effective notes on poetry?
What should I include in my notes?
Help would be appreciated.Thanks!

Annotate the poem itself. You need to have contextual factors about the poet and the time he was writing in. And have noted down the key themes and how they are portrayed. Also make sure you have some key quotes to hand that you can easily remember.

Well i assume that this is for English 9-1, if so then definitely get this book. AQA Anthology of Poetry (CGP) The Poetry Guide For the Grade 9-1 course. Buy it for your poem collection like mine is power and conflict. This is very useful as it already gives annotated poems and context and the other stuff that people said.
