Have a lookie here- http://www.liv.ac.uk/carnatic/travel/carnaticuniversity.htm

Of course, that limits you to the 699... I might invest in a pass though.

oooooooooh thanks for that link. No, coz it can be used on any arriva service? or is there not many more arriva buses in liverpool. The only thing, it doesnt include nightbuses, rubbish. but, yer might get it!!! xxx
Its well worth getting a pass, works out cheaper overall seems alot at first but i definately had my worth out of one when i was in halls. Its what £1.10 each way so by the time you've paid that everyday its at least £11 a week if you go in once Mon-Fri. You can go anywhere on them as most buses in Liverpool are Arriva, and if your lucky enough to live in the North West can be used anywhere. If i was up that end again i'd defo get another, so go for it.

£1.20 now for a single fair. Get the bus pass. Even if yu never go lectures you'll need it for the nights out.

Hey Hannah don't buy one until u have your nus card because u get discount with arriva buses xxx

Yeah, definitely get a pass. You save so much money and you can get any arriva bus within a certain district so it's really worth while. Plus, the Stagecoach buses sometimes take pity on you and let you on with your card if you're desperate lol.

i advise everyone to get a bus pass as soon as you can. People who don't always regret it

you dont need your nus card, your student number is the same one you use to log onto SPIDER so you already have it. I think the bus passes are available to order from 24th August.

YES! Do it. It doesn't just limit you to the 699, you can use any arriva bus in merseyside and lancashire, you'll use the bus at least twice every day, and getting a yearly one will just save you money in the end. I know it seems a lot of money now, but if you spend £1.20 twice a day, it'll add up to so much more!
I ordered my pass yesterday and it arrived today. Good to have it done so I can use it as soon as I get there, plus there is a 10% online discount.

It definately seems worth it, and as a side note it's valid throughout the North West region. I don't know whether to get one myself as at halls I'm a 5 minute walk from the Chem building, and a 15 minute walk from Lime Street Station. What dya think? (sorry for the selfish question)

Are you staying in philharmonic / mulberry then? If you're only 5 mins away from uni then you probably won't need a bus pass then to be honest, as you'll only really use it for getting into town when you can't be bothered to walk. I suppose it depends on how lazy you are and how much you go out!
Not just philharmonic and mulberry but the private halls are aslo really close.

Im in Liberty Halls, they're private, and from my department it's only a few minutes walk. Is there anyway I can find out the bus fares before hand?

Also, is said bus pass valid on all Arriva Services in the NW, if so, it might be worth my while, as there's a bus from Liverpool to Warrington (my hometown), and I just have a feeling the fares would be a rip off
Valid on all arriva busses that start or finish in merseyside or cheshire. Can get to manchester airport, and north wales - if you felt so inclined.

Single fares are £1.20 but nearly always increase every year. You can get a weekly ticket for £11/12ish.

The larger private halls are all in a prertty good location - you won't really need a bus pass. Short walk into town and you already know your close to your dept.
