chest pains

i keep getting really bad chest pains,

like someone is squeezing on my lung or compressing on my chest, today it was so bad it affected my work and i was feeling really dizzy and sick, i don't know if it was the fact i drank loads of tea the other day or whether i was just tired,

i got taken to hospital in febuary with SVT which could have been caused by potassuim which is found in tea, coffee and bananas etc,

i hate to waste doctors time coz normally theres nothing really wrong with me, im just wondering if anyone else gets chest pains is it normal?

Dont ever think you're wasting doctors time ^^ These days you really need to press doctors to do somthing about anything for some reason and with what you've said i would definitly keep pressing on.
Definitly.

Take careeee

I had something similar a while ago, when I'd been standing for a while, kindof like compression at the bottom of my ribcage, and then dizzy/faint. I went to the doctors and they said they'd never heard of it before, and i don't think she believed me to be honest :p: but yeh I don't think chest pains are normal - go to the doctors

Get yourself to A&E next time it happens. Don't go to your GP, straight to A&E. describe exactly what is happening.
It sounds like your heart - these are very different symptoms to the typical dross you get on TSR. They very much fit heart problems - and at a guess i would say it is recurring heart rhythm (SVTs for instance, or perhaps WPW) problems.
These are often caused by errant pathways in your heart tissue that can be corrected through minor surgery.

But certainly get it checked.

"Squeezing on my lung or compressing on my chest..."

That does not sound normal. I usually get some pains on my chest but it doesn't last that long, and I feel it in my bone more than my lungs. I think you should go see a doctor.

Unless you have a history of anxiety attacks and panic attacks, which can manifest themselves in severe pain (trust me, I Know) in the chest region. Then get to doctors straight away. It could be that you are having Palpitations, or Premature Ventricular Contractions which are harmless in the main, but could be an indicator of more sinister doings
