Yes, sex might feel uncomfortable at first, but the idea that penetration is supposed to hurt is a myth! Much of the pain that we associate with intercourse comes if the woman’s body is overly tense from nerves. - http://www.hercampus.com/love/sex/sex-what-expect-your-first-time

It is up to you to decide whether you wish to talk to whomever you are having sex with that you are a virgin. It might put you more at ease, as they will understand that you may be uncomfortable at first.

This is another good resource - http://www.cosmopolitan.com/sex-love/tips/a811/first-time-sex/

Just be sure that you are ready to lose your virginity to that person and that you feel ready to have sex. Whilst it isn't something dramatic and it doesn't have to be life changing, it can still be a big thing for a lot of people and that's alright!
