History coursework. What the hell?...

I'm talking specifically about OCR History but this is could apply to other people. Nearly everyone got C's, D's and E's in their history courseworks!!!!My teacher said that most of us should have got much higher grades. I don't understand how I got a D cos I got full marks in 2 of my history exams and all the rest were A's! Ironically I thought I was gonna do badly in my exams and I thought my coursework went really well! History is the most unpredictable subject ever!

Agreed! I did OCR too and ended up with a D on my cw, my teacher couldn't believe it, i really don't know what they're playing at....but i'm into uni anyway so i'm not that bothered about it:smile:

I got a C for my coursework (OCR History) and was told it was an A/B - ALOT of people in my class were vvv confused about module marks, they don't seem to add up... not literally.. but you know what I mean...

I'm in the same boat, got a D for my OCR History coursework when my teacher said it should of been A/B. It seriously dragged down my grade, i'm in two minds whether to get it remarked or or not.

i would get it remarked - but i'm only 2 marks over an A overall as a result... I'd be too scared to get it remarked in case it went down and I ended up with a B... :frown:
My school does OCR history coursework. Last year everyone in the history class was predicted above a C and everyone ended up with D's, E's and U's. This year my history teacher ensured that we fully understood the requirements of OCR history which was to actually analyse the origin and reliablity of each source and its relevance to my work. By doing this most people have achieved C's and above. I got an A in mine. What did you all do yours on? Screwed up on all the other modules but hey-ho! lol

I also did AQA coursework, and was a bit miffed with my result heh. I thought I'd get an A in it, but nope, got 65/90 which is a B. In fact, I thought I'd done better in my coursework than I had in my exams, but it turned out that I had a better set of results for my exam modules :/
Ditto - I believe I got in the fifties in my OCR History c/work and mine was still a D-grade.
Bastards, I could have got an overall A had it been an A-grade coursework. Luckily, my uni place didn't depend on it so I'll cope with my B; but all the same, I think it's mad that just under 60% is a D. It doesn't make sense.
SAME! I got a D on the OCR coursework, I swear it should have been higher. I got the A overall so I cant really be bothered to challenge it.

SAME SAME! I got A's in both my papers and got a C in my coursework which I was not expecting. I think they are going to remark the hist cws again (thats what I heard in college)
I did AQA AS history and got:
61/90 - C for coursework
100/105 - A for Mod2
105/105 - A for Mod 3

I really can't understand what happened with my coursework, it was the bit I thought I did best in.
But overall I got an A which beats my prediction of a B, so I'm not complaining much. Although I would get the script back to see what I've done wrong. This is important as the personal studies project will make up the bulk of the marks at A2.
I got a D for my coursework-46/90 - the lowest by far I've ever got for a piece of coursework-i'm shocked because I was told it was a B/C. I didn't do very well in my other history exams so it wouldn't have made much of a difference...
same here OCR coursework
A grade students got d's and e's. Our school has put in an appeal to OCR

I think our college is going to do the same. (hopefully!)
