Propecia and Regaine(Minoxidil) are the two most effective forms of treatment for hairloss/mpb. You can use them in tandom I think.

aw hun, it's difficult but I'd say just see a dermatologist. my boyfriend is 20 and losing his hair, and he's been to a dermatologist who said there's nothing they can do and it's probably stress related or genetic. I honestly couldn't care less though, he's the sexiest man I know with or without hair. he took regaine for a bit but it only seemed to slow falling out and didn't particularly help regrowth and was expensive so he's decided to let nature take its course  im proud of him.

A friend of mine started losing his hair at 17.. lost it all by time he was at Cam. he just shaved his head :P Sorry i can't offer better advice :/ Shane Warne sponsors hair growth thingy?

It's not hard to get hair back, hair transplants are now perfectly realistic. It's a myth you can do nothing about it - it just costs a few thousand pounds, so if you really care about it you could get a loan out of whatever.

Anyway who cares, it's not a big deal at all.

There is a treatment, its called a rug.

Hair loss is nothing serious, all of my cousins started losing their hair at 20 (their father is bald) and it doesn't bother them. They make jokes on it all the time. So you have nothing to worry about.

I have the same problem. I even remember the day I started losing it. I was 17, just came back from a driving lesson - scared the **** out of me. Anyway I’m now 22 and if I shaved my hair it would be quite thin at the crown and sides of the hairline, give it another year and I’ll have no hair just like my dad. It is pretty embarrassing and can be devastating to the less outgoing of people, but normal people should not glance twice; assuming 50% of males and more than a handful of women. Gail Porter? (I do feel sorry for her) have no hair. I used to shave my hair all the time so I know it looks ok, but I still miss my really once (very) thick locks. But that’s that, and there are no natural solutions, I just wear a hat.

my boyf's hair loss is really starting to get to him, though sadly he doesnt have the money for a hair transplant but he really wants one.

for him though its genetic - his dad starting loosing his hair in his mid-teens - as did my boyfriend!

thats unlucky... though my boyfriends only 20 and he's receeding!

Dude, if you're suffering from Male Pattern Baldness for the love of God shave your hair off and be proud of being bald and make it look sexy. There's nothing worse than a toupe or a combover, it's nasty.

I'm only 17, it started for me when I was 15, I saw a dermatologist who said it was stress-related. Been on Regaine Extra Strength for over a year, results are a little inconsistent, but things haven't gotten any worse since I initially started it.

I have a few friends with receeding hair lines and bald spots and they just laugh it off. My best friend has full on grey hair and he just dyes it. Shave your hair!! I wouldn't resort to surgery when in a few years time anyways, you will start losing it because of age.

I can understand your concern but I think you just have to look at the bigger picture. It aint the end of the world, far worse things can happen, your girlfriend is fine about it and before you know it loads of your mates will be in the same boat. Just keep it short and don't worry.
