I'm looking at shoes for placement at the moment and wondered if anyone has any tips on what shoes or places to buy them are best?? Ones I've found so far are horrible! (Looking for lace ups if possible).
    Thanks!

Mental Health - but been told they'll need to be wipeable leather or synthetic. But I can't think of any good trainers like that!

It really just depends what you find comfy and whether they need to be black leather shoes or whether ones that look like trainers are acceptable. Double check your uniform policy or phone your placement if you're in any doubts to clarify - you don't want to spend £50+ on a pair of shoes you aren't allowed to wear.

Sketchers are really popular and have black leather versions, as do Nike. Lots of people also go for Clarks. Most trainer brands have a black leather version. I wear black leather Vans as I wear them normally and find that they suit me. I'd advise you to get ones with as few seams as possible as they're hard to clean and to size up if in doubt as your feet will expand after a few hours on the ward.
