    I am doing a hairdressing apprenceship and I HATE it! I've got a contract with the place I work at but can I still leave? And how do I do it as I haven't got the confidence! PLEASE HELP I dread everyday to go there! I'm 16 btw

    I don't know but why would anyone be able to force you to do something you don't want to do. Let me just say this... You should be able to explain in fine detail with at least 5 paragraphs of your back-up plan(s) before quitting, as you should finish what you started unless the going gets too tough.

    Find out what the notice period is, and hand in your notice. Just hand in a letter to your manager and say "I don't think this is right for me, so let's not waste any more of each other's time, I'll serve my notice if that's OK"

    I'd echo ApprenticeFinder's sentiments - just handing in your notice and going off in a huff is not the way forward.
