    I think my English class in high school the year before I was in it had their pupils write letters to people in Gambia but me personally no.

    never had a pen pal.but i think it would be cool, unfortunately most schools now don't really offer proper pen pal programs.

    Yeah I remember in like year 7 and 8 I had a French pen pal. It was quite fun and made French lessons more interesting.

    Briefly, in primary school (the teachers set the correspondence up), with a French guy. Neither of us knew each-others language well enough to communicate properly, we just used Google Translate, so it didn't last long.

    Had one in primary school from Zimbabwe (I think), think we only had written a couple of letters to them or so. Also one from Germany in secondary school.
