    Hi i am currently a 2nd yeat social work student but i really don't enjoy it. I want to do somethi g which will lead me to teachibg so i csn dp my pgce and become a primary school teacher. What is my best bet? If i switch ourses now to another course will i need to start from scratch and do all 3 years or will i need to do all 3 years plus my pgce? Any advice please?

    You need to ask the admission tutor for the primary education degree. But I think it is very unlikely that any university will let you transfer into the second or third year of a Primary Ed degree, so yes you will probably have to start from scratch. Unless you have a medical reason for leaving your current course, you will have to pay for the first year of a Primary Education degree yourself.

    You might be able to do a Primary PGCE with a Social Work degree. If you can bear to stick with your degree and finish it, that is probably your best option.
