Have a look at where grads from this program end up. Do they offer internships or work experience?

Hi Peter, I'm Oke and I'm at Cranfield University doing a PhD in Aerospace Engineering- I think I can confidently answer your question! MSc in Aerospace Engineering or Turbo-Machinery Engineering at Cranfield, is one of the best in the UK -and possibly in Europe. We have strong industrial links to top Aerospace companies (Rolls Royce, Boeing, etc), Universities and technical institutes. My research focuses on jet engines and the support I get from staff and industry is incredible. I'm doing a project with Airbus at the minute (which is in addition to my PhD research) and it has been revealing. A friend of mine who did a Turbo-Engineering related MSc has gone on to Jaguar (he got picked up during the Cranfield Job Fair). My house mate did an MSc in Environmental Science and is currently at Arup, Birmingham (got the offer before his final exams). I would definitely recommend Cranfield to you as you seem to be keen on Aerospace and Engineering. Any more questions, give me a shout!

Hi Peter -you are welcome. Thanks for the reply. In Cranfield University it is generally a A UK first or second class Honours degree in a relevant subject area. I'd suggest you get in touch with the department as, in some cases, the student(s) are accepted if they also have a strong working experience in an area, in addition to a degree. Cost of living at Cranfield? Relatively cheap, in comparison to other top ranked Universities! For one, Cranfield University is not in London, so you do not have to bear the associated cost-increase that comes with residing in London. But we are close to London - a 30 mins train ride from Milton Keynes to London Euston takes me to London if I have any research engagement there!(NB: You did ask about reputability: Cranfield University is ranked amongst the top 50 universities in the world for mechanical, aeronautical and manufacturing engineering, by higher education data specialists QS. I hope this helps)
