Bist du verrueckt? :P

Glad to know the day went well though  Hopefully the people you're working with on the languages weekend thing will be better
Edit: you were right about lernt
I don't see why not! Unless I get silly questions like the ones my friends have had.

It is the singular form isn't it?

Yes it is, cos it's "die Klasse". But in English, we'd say "the class are learning", rather than "the class is learning". German's a lot stricter about singular/plurals than we are xD
I thought so. That one caught me out for a while but I think I'm getting it.

Currently I'm writing a review of the latest Sigur Ros album for German Language Skills. I've never used words like "ethereal" in German before!

hmmm yeh, we use plural for single things that contain many things. Like even the though the class is a single thing, it represents more than one person.

Hallo Leute,

Koennen Sie mir helfen, bitte?

Danke!
leo.org suggests that quantity in this context would be Menge, but I have not got a clue what sheer would be.

Oh, "sheer" is "schier" So it means something like "schiere Menge".

:ditto:
It could also be translated as "rein", depending on the context.
Hallo an alle!

Ah cool - I looked it up but wasn't sure whether it could be translated literally or not! Thank you very much!

"Sie bevorzugt, ..."

ich muss einer andere schule ändern. Do you want to say that you would like to switch schools? Then you have to say: "Ich muss auf eine andere Schule gehen".

cheers!
