Hallo!
    (Original post by Rhii)
[1] You can't say "ich bin ... (infinitive)" to mean "I am doing". The correct form is always "ich lerne", "ich studiere".
[2] "Ich" isn't capitalised except at the beginning of a sentence.
[3] The plural of "du" is "ihr". "Du" is always singular.
[4] Adverb positioning is quite difficult; however, "not yet" / "still not" is a bit of a fixed phrase in German, and is "noch nicht".
[5] "I think..." introduces a new clause: "ich denke, dass..." followed by sending the verb to the end. The comma is mandatory to show that it's a new clause.
[6] You don't "go Germany", you "go to Germany": "nach Deutschland".
[7] "Möchte" is a modal verb, so "ich möchte nach Deutschland fahren und Deutsch studieren".
[8] "At university" is "an der Universität".

Also, you're misspelling "Deutsch"! And you can feel free to call us 'du' - the internet is by definition quite an informal place unless you're doing something specific like sending an email to your boss / your teachers.

That's understandable. It can be difficult to get used to a language again after a break. I have the same problem myself.

I am at uni, yeah - just going into third year. Or at least I will be back at uni in four days, and I can't wait.

GenEb doesn't actually do German at uni AFAIK, but I just graduated in German so if you want any questions then feel free to answer. Been a while since I perused these boards.

As Fleece said, I don't do German, so you'll be better off talking to someone else about it. I wouldn't have enjoyed it, but that's why I don't do it, so I'm not the most reliable source of information.

I need URGENT help please- Not sure how to say that the tap in my shower which turns (screws) came off. It keeps alternating between nothing, a dribble and then being normal. I need to phone the lady in charge of my apartment and she doesn't speak English.

EDIT: Managed to say most of it apart from the tap coming off the wall.

    hi,

I was wondering if someone could check my German in this assignment (We had to write a letter of complaint to someone about a hotel) or have anything I can add to the letter of complaint?:

    my street and number
    Nordost Lincolnshire
    postcide
    Grimsby, den 24. September
    Hotel zum Dom
    Bahnhofstr, 56
    67354 Oldendamm

    Sehr geehrte Herr Wagner,

    Hochachtungsvoll,

I thought it was good That room sure did have a lot of problems! :p:
You could maybe put a bit more detail in? Such as where your handbag was when it was stolen or about what time it was stolen or something?
Do you have a word limit?
