Ermm... Ich will eine A fuer diese Prüfung bekommen. Ich habe (markscheme) gesehen, es sagt dass ich viele strukturen benutzen müss...aber was für stukturen könnte ich benutzen?

Man muss nicht alle benutzen aber als Beispiel- Konjunktiv, Passiv, Saetze mit Konjunktionen wie "weil" oder "obwohl" oder Modalverben.

Hast du andere Empfehlung für mich? zB Grammatik? Meine Grammatik ist schrecklich weil meine Lehrerin immer etwas korrigiere müss. Hast du ein Idee wie ich meine grammatik könnte verbessern? :o:

Du kannst nur ueben, denke ich und sicherstellen, dass du die Regeln der Grammatik verstehst. Ich glaube, dass das normal ist und dass, es dauert, bis alles komplett richtig geschrieben wird. Ich schreibe alles nicht richtig! Wenn deine Lehrerin Sachen korrigiert, sagt sie was falsch geschrieben wurde und warum?

Is this about deaf people? If so, maybe something like: "in communication with hearing people* the spontaneity is lost, with the result that they cannot act naturally". I don't quite understand the context, so maybe I've got that wrong!

* I think this is the official term for non-deaf people, but it sounds a bit silly, so...

Hah, yes it's about non-deaf people. I had just stuck with 'non-deaf' as 'hearing people' didn't sound right to me at all.
My translation was ''Upon communication with the non-deaf the spontaneity is lost, with the result that they cannot behave naturally.''

I guess yours is better though. They're very picky over words though. I'm not sure I'd get away with 'the non-deaf' but I'll be stubborn and maintain that 'hearing people' sounds stupid.

It does sound a bit odd, but I'm relatively certain I've come across it before in this context... Perhaps we're all just being subconsciously deaf-ist in thinking it sounds weird? :dontknow:

It means 'strongly influenced by traditions'. :smile:

'Prägen' can also mean 'to have a formative influence on'.

"prägen" means emboss or coin, but can also be used for formed. Some examples for the possible use of prägen in different meanings:

- Dollarmünzen werden in den USA geprägt
- Deutsche Innenstädte sind oftmals durch Altbauten geprägt
- Erlebnisse prägen einen Menschen
- Das Wort xyz hat sich mir ins Gedächtnis geprägt

So, prägen in "traditionsgeprägt" could be replaced by "beeinflusst" or "geformt".

Does anyone know if Rosetta Stone is good for drumming in vocabulary? Ive been using it but its so repetitive I get bored after half an hour listening to "die frau trinkt milch". Worth keeping at it?

I've never used it but I imagine it depends on how you learn. If you're getting bored then maybe you're not so much of a listener (although I'd be bored of that too tbh). I always prefer to write things down to get vocab in my head.

Same. As long as you find a method that works for you, stick with it - what works for other people doesn't necessarily work for you. Rosetta Stone is probably brilliant if it's your learning style, but if not then it's very inefficient.

Ich kann mich nicht entscheiden, ob ich bis Ende August in Deutschland bleiben will. Ich habe meine Chefin nocht nicht gefragt aber alles haengt von meinem Uniprojekt ab. Ich brauche einen Internetanschluss zu haben und muss Ende Juni meinen Vertrag mit Telekom kuendigen, sonst laueft er fuer eine weitere 12 Monate. Es ist schwer.

Du könntest einen Internet-USB-Stick kaufen. Man muss nur ein bisschen pro Monat bezahlen aber ich weiß nicht, ob man einen Vertrag bräuchte, ansonst könntest du für den USB-Stick bezahlen und dann benutzst du er wieder in England. Am wenigsten hast du Internetanschluss sowohl in England, als auch in Deutschland.
