Sulphate... Carcinogenic? Fabulous news for me... What doesn't cause cancer these days! Christ! But come on, that is one hell of a pretzel, considering that the closest I have ever had to a proper one is them chocolate coated ones they used to sell about 10 years ago, they were magic!

Katie Jane? Kulvinder Jemima? Katherine Jennifer? Kevin (long story) Jemma?:p:
Doesn't actually stand for anything. It was a nickname I made for myself ages ago to protect my identity online and I've just kept it ever since.

Thanks everyone for clearing up the "I need a hug" business.
So just to clarify - I could say "Die kann ich jetzt gebrauchen" - literally, "Now I can use that"? And you'd use "die" not "das" for "that" because you're referring to a feminine noun....? 'Cause I always just say "das"

Yes, but you could use 'das' (i.e. referring to being hugged rather than the hug itself) as well.

    Hallo! Wie Gehts?

Do you think it's possible to learn fluent by the time I finish uni?
I've learnt to GCSE standard and spent 2 weeks in Germany (on exchange) I'm going again for a week before uni to stay with my ex-exchange partner. I also want to learn spanish  . Either way I'm going to try. Your thoughts would be most appreciated anyway! Thanks

    Tschüs!

Yeah, course it's possible. The more you practise, the easier it'll get.

Oops, missed that one. You're right, "für" doesn't really work, but "zu" sounds a bit dodgy to me as well. "Über" or "an" is what I'd be most likely to use.

Aye was gonna suggest über too. Nice one. My German friend say in English the other day "how is it being home to Christmas?" Was kinda sweet
