OK, that does suck. But it could be worse - you could be in hospital and not even have access to your computer.

Was, sind wir jetzt wieder per Sie?
Aha, ich dachte "Sie" ist der Plural von "du" Jetzt, erinnre ich es ist "ihr".

Naja, it seems I am the one who is blöd! (No idea how to formulate that in German)

"Sieht ganz so aus, als sei ich derjenige, der hier blöd ist."

    Hey,
    anybody still awake?
Again I´m doing my homework and I have a little question:

    Is it:
"By this sentence he tries to express....."
    or:
"With this sentence he tries to express...." ?

You 2 are always up quite late, aren't you :p: Especially you gembarla, doing your homework at 2am, crazy!

Billy, hast du "The German Learners Handbook" mit du/dich(?) (can you even structure a sentence like that in German?) oder ist es bei zu Hause?

Also, I forgot the thing about zu Hause/Zuhause again. Which should I use when?

I haven't been to bed yet Crazy times. Took a 9am trip to Kaufland.

zuhause and zu Hause are pretty much interchangeable, so it doesn't matter basically. Just make sure if you use zuhause the 'z' is not a capital.

Re: your sentence... it'd be "mit dir" if anything..because mit takes the dative. But that sentence is a little dodgy. I'd probably say "hast du es dabei" or something.

And instead of "ist es bei zu Hause" - just leave out the "bei" and say "ist es zu Hause?" or "ist es daheim".

"Hast du es dabei?" is the correct translation. You wouldn't really say "hast du es mit dir?", but "hast du es mit?" works (although it's a bit colloquial).

    Hey hobnob,
I don't suppose you know where one can dispose of an energy lightbulb in Germany do you?! There doesn't seem to be a bin for it...which is odd because there's a bin for EVERYTHING. :ninja:

Hallo Leute.

Sondermüll, I think, but I'm not really a recycling expert...

Edit: I just checked - energy lightbulbs contain mercury or other heavy metals, so definitely Sondermüll. You might be able to return it to the shop you bought it from, otherwise you'll just have to check your Abfallkalender (you've got one of those, right?) for the dates.

Their plane was late, so they had to rush to the station and make a very rapid decision as to which train to take. (That's how I read it, anyway).
