Is Cambridge better than Oxford?

What I really think this discussion has come down to is the following. The better university for each person normally depends upon which city they prefer, as academically the universities are so close. The other important factor is the course - Oxford is better for some, Cambridge for others, though for many they are almost completely equal.

On top of all that, most people like whichever one they have gone to, simply because we do adjust to our surroundings, and build an affinity to the place where we live and study.

Unless you get stuck there too long... I couldn't have coped with applying to Cambridge, I'm pretty much sick of the place.

In contrast, despite being pretty much built up around the colleges, I felt that Cambridge had moved on more. Therefore Cambridge is better .

Well, the Cambridge dress code for exams is more enlightened at least.

I prefer the traditional Oxford way, it makes it seem more special.

Has Judge Jules DJ'd in Tabland?

Edit: I was taking the piss with this statement, not thinking that people would seriously think I judge unis on which DJs have performed there!

if he hasnt that automatically makes tabland better for clubbing by a factor of ten! i love clubbing, but i wholeheartedly agree with the people that threw mini baby bells at him when he played in london a while back.

In response to the whole clubbing and DJ thing with Judge Jules.... i really don't like that sort of music or clubbing....so i couldn't care less whether or not Cambridge has any clubs or where judge jules has been. But if that is your sort of thing..then i can understand why you'd choose oxford over cambridge.

As long as there are relatively famous acts doing gigs in cambridge from time to time....i'm happy

The Music are starting their tour this Septemeber in Cambridge, thus automatically makes Cambridge far better
