Firstly, sorry if this is in the wrong thread.

I'm currently in year 11 looking at sixthforms and colleges. I know that in order to be accepted into vet university, I must take alevel biology and chemistry. But can I also take level 3 btec animal management? I have read that people prefer btec animal management as its more 'hands on' and I know I would prefer that, also I'm thinking that it would help me in gaining work experience. But would taking btec animal management and alevel biology and chemistry lessen my chances of getting into vet uni? compared to taking 3 alevels of say Biology chemistry and history? I know that getting into veterinary university is very very competitive, and so I'm trying my best to make the best chances possible, eventhough its a long long way off (thank fully)

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.
