    Hello All,

What is more difficult to pass an LPC or the BPTC. Are there any statistics out there for this?

    Thanks.

Yes if you use google there are plenty of statistics produced both for the LPC and the BPTC. Have you looked? The pass rates for LPC are higher, but it can all be a bit misleading.

Difficulty of passing wouldnt be a relevant criteria for me, it would be which branh of the profession I was interested in.

    Hi,

    Thanks for getting back.

I did have a look but the stats available are for different years. The LPC pass rate in 2011 was 74%. BPTC pass rate in 2016 is 72%.

I took the BPTC course in 2012 and got a fail overall as I got a 58 in Civil in my third attempt. I am now considering getting accreditation for the modules taken and therefore exemption for those modules and complete the LPC that way.

What makes you say it is all a bit misleading-is it because of the dates of the statistics?

    Best,
