I'm looking for a part-time job that I can do alongside my A-levels so I'm going to try and apply to McDonald's. However, after looking at the shift times it seems that the only ones I can do are the mornings (5am-8am) on Saturday and Sunday. Is there any point trying to apply if I'm only able to work such few hours?

I would say it would be slightly pointless !!
McDonald's is one of the best jobs for availability, the my schedule system allows you to change your availability and have more or less shifts as you want. However, at my interview the manager said that availability to work shifts is one of the most important things they look for in prospective employees!! You're likely to even get to interview stage with such few hours available .. Can you not do evenings or weekend days ?

I wouldnt look at those times too much, as they usually ask you what your availability is at interview anyway, and you can tell them all the times you are available to work. You would usually get more hours than that anyway.

It'd be pointless. Have you thought about working weekends as it won't interrupt with your studies
