DNA is an acid which contains many base pairs (bases are guanine, cytosine, adenine, thymine).
A Gene is a length of DNA with a certain number of base pairs which codes for a certain phenotype
A Chromosone is DNA that has been packaged neatly, ready for mitosis or meiosis.

Biology for GCSE...simplistically...
Gene - basically the unit of inheritance and the short section of DNA
Chromosome - found in nucleus, chromosomes made from long strains of DNA
DNA - carries genetic material (genetic code) that will determine characteristics - a large and complex molecule
I.e.
