Did you only choose a subject because you got a A/A* at GCSE? What did you get at AS/A2?

Somewhat, I realised maybe half way through year 11 that I was only good at Maths,Physics&Chemistry (I suck at essay-writing subjects), so I guess I was guided towards those subjects. They were the only subjects I got A* for in GCSE, got AAAA in AS for Maths, FM, Physics&Chem.

Yes, I really hated Sociology at GCSE it seemed way to much of a nuisance and I just wasn't interested in it much and i certainly didn't enjoy it but i got 1 mark of an A* in the exam so i just picked it at A Level anyway. I haven't had any exams yet but i'm not enjoying it and I am pretty sure I am falling behind tbh

    Maths as an A level subject ( got a B for maths & D for AddMaths @IGCSE)

I took it just for the sake of university
Otherwise I would have taken Business Studies where I'm almost perfect.

I wasn't going to do maths but I got an A* and started AS because they said I could drop it if I did't like it. 4 weeks later I did drop it (for lots of reasons), but I kind of regret that now.

Kind of. I picked Environmental Studies at AS because I wasn't sure what else to do, and it complimented my other subjects (Geology, Geography and ICT). I didn't want to do any of the core sciences or maths, so it seemed like a decent alternative. I got a high B in it at AS, but dropped it for A2 because I hated it

English Language (100% in it for my GCSE)

I find it dull, but the teachers are nice and are very good at what they do. I'm predicted an A* at it for A2 and got one of the highest marks in my AS exams, but yeah... not very intellectually stimulating

Geography - I got an A at GCSE and at one point I wasn't going to continue at A-level. Now I'm doing A2 Geography and retaking AS Geography and I absolutely hate it so much and I'm failing (I got a D at AS)
