I'm moving out of my uni accommodation and coming back next year for a load of reasons, my housemates are/were drug addicts, all hated me and ostracised me from the house completely, so I literally spent all day everyday alone in my room wishing I was at home.
Anyway, I found another girl - a friend of theirs - who wanted to move into my room and cover my share of the rent, she's supposed to be moving in this weekend, and start paying rent Monday (November 1st) as our rent gets paid on the first of every month. The landlord is emailing the new contract out today, however she's just emailed us both saying she can't move in now, and wants to wait until next month (December). I'm now living at home and have been for the last two weeks, I can't really afford to pay my rent as I was forced to pay ridiculously high bills for the house over the summer when I wasn't even living there, is there anything I can do?

I moved into the house in September, they made me pay bills from June, July and August and then for a TV license which I'm obviously not going to use. It doesn't seem fair that I should have to pay when I haven't been living there for a while now, and she is the one requesting the date be put back.

    Any advice?
