The University of Kent have announced this week that Zayn Malik, who is half White-British and half Pakistani, will be the face of Black History Month.
Sadiq Khan, who also comes from a British-Pakistani family, joins Malik as one of the poster boys for the month dedicated to black history.

Read more on the story here.

What do you think of this error in judgment by the University of Kent? Do you study the University? Who do you think would make better representatives?

I just think it's so bloody stupid. This is a national event and all of the publicity materials produced by the University of Kent were produced by professionals, how is it that nobody noticed the error? It just seems so disrespectful to me that an influential body such as a university can publish materials like this without even fact-checking it first.
It definitely makes Black History Month feel more necessary than ever to me.
