I'm interested in possibly studying law at university as I've always had an interest in crime and criminal cases but am leaning towards abroad study. I haven't completely decided yet but I just feel going abroad would be an exciting life change and I've narrowed it down to a few I'm interested in so was wondering if anyone knew anything about the unis or if it would be a good idea:

University of California Los Angeles (UCLA)
    New York University
    Toronto University
    Melbourne University
    Stanford University
    Adelaide University
    Berkeley University
    University of Chicago

Also, if I'm more interested in the crime aspect, would law still be the right option? Criminology may be better suited and I'd likely enjoy it more but a criminology degree doesn't sound as prestigious as a law degree and wouldn't open many doors
