I know this guy for many years. He is 18 months older than I (I'm 27).

I remember at cricket practice, he used to take the piss out of me.

The captain also told him to go bat first with me a couple of years ago and for some reason he goes he doesn't want to bat with me, only with someone else at that match.

Also, I remember at a one day 5 a side indoor footie tournament, his team done quite well and at the end he looked towards my side, and he said something about not being a loser.

He hasn't done well in life, it took him 3 years to find a graduate job and is unable to find a job after his contract ended 18 months ago. He is working as a sales assistant.

I've had a couple of programmer, developer interviews and he thinks I'm lying about my chances of getting into these fields. He's told his friends 'I'm lying' and will not get into it. My friend who knows a member of his family has told me. He was also planning to prank call me.

What the hell, he hasn't seen me for 3 months, how is suppose to know what's going on in my life? What's the big deal with him? He is just jealous that someone he thought was weaker than him is going to be more successful than him?

He's 29 btw. I have no bad intentions or ill will towards him.

He has reacted bad, back in august I told the cricket group I had an interview for a junior developer role. Perhaps due to the fact I have not got a job yet, he thinks I'm deceiving people with having that interview in particular.
