I am a 2nd year British student studying in the UK at LSE. Over the last couple of months I have been looking into Masters programmes and have considered studying in the USA. I will be looking to study a masters program in the field of economics, finance, management or business.

Could anyone give me a rough idea of the process? Key dates, necessary tests and any useful links would be much appreciated.

Please note: this is the first place I have come to query and so I apologise if I seem rather unknowing.

Deadlines are often before December. The are application fees, usually $100 (ouch). The fees are astronomical, especially in your field. Competition is fierce, particularly for the best unis.

Also, several economics departments only offer a PhD, not a stand alone masters. Like Berkeley: https://www.econ.berkeley.edu/grad/admissions
