I'm currently studying Applied Science in college and I've been wanting to something's related to media. I can't change my college course because I'm already 3/4 the way through the course. Can I take a foundation year in uni for media or not?

I don't think you would need to take a foundation year, I believe there are universities that do not have actual specific entry requirements for the subjects you need to get in. I'm assuming you're doing an Extended Diploma? Iff so, you could probably get into most "top" universities for a Media/Film course with 3 Distinctions.
This obviously also depends on your grades you're predicted in your course, have a look at universities and the entry requirements, and if it doesn't state anything about your qualifications you can easily just email them and they would give you a straight answer.

    Short Answer:
    You probably could

    Long Answer:
Luckly media isnt a very competitive nor riggerous course thus the enterance requirements are unlikley to be very specific. As you are currently doing an BTEC Extended diploma and not tradtional A levels you probably shouldn't look at the Russell Group unis. Instead I would look at unis with slightly lower standards such as Salford, Uni of London. Whilst I am not an expert on Media Studies; I do currently know a third year student reading Media. The advice from them has been to ensure you read as much as possible around the subject, EPQ is very good and try to undertake projects which allow you to be an artist (Media is Ba not Bsci) rather than a scientist
